Fleckviehcow "Blüte" champion for the third time

Last weekend the showgrounds at Alsfeld / Hesse once again were the arena for the annual cattle competition of the Hessian-Thuringian cattle breeders, organized by our partner Qnetics. In addition to numerous Fleckvieh, Holstein and Red Holstein cows, also two demonstration groups of Brown Swiss and Jersey cows competed against each other.
Traditionally, a "Hessen Champion" in the categories "Dairy Breeds" and "Dual Purpose Breeds" is chosen during the show. The title "Champion Dual Purpose" went to the Fleckvieh cow "Blüte", bred by Christian Zimmermann, Beerfelden-Oberzent. For the Wichtl-daughter it was already the 3rd victory at the showgrounds of Alsfeld. She impressed the judge with her outstanding type traits and a fantastic udder.
The progeny group of the Fleckvieh sire Walling (S: Washington) also attracted a lot of attention. Walling-daughters are functional, easy handling, productive cows with good udders.
The show program was complemented by a breeder's evening and an elite auction.
