Brown Swiss has the highest share of 100,000kg cows
As data from Germany show, a high percentage of Brown Swiss cows reach the lifetime production level of 100,000 kg milk. As you can see from the table below, 0,18% of the Brown Swiss cows reach this magic limit in Bavaria / Germany, it is the highest share of all breeds!

According to the statistics there are 403 living Brown Swiss 100.000kg cows in Southern Germany. We checked which sires are most common among these cows:23x Jublend, 19x Pronto, 12x Simvitel.
The cow with the highest milk production is Lodi (S: Hussli) bred in Bavaria with 190.817kg of milk followed by Luise (S: Pronto) with 162.230kg milk bred in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Among the cows that recently reached the 100.000l benchmark, the bulls Huray and Etvei often appear as sires. Both bulls have already demonstrated their qualities in numerous export markets, like the 12-year-old Etvei daughter Tandera Etvei Heidi in Australia, who won the Brown Swiss Champion title at the International Dairy Week.
